Disease Control

This weekend I had the opportunity to do some videoing. My business partner and I wanted to text various water products to see that their relative pH values would be. In light of the war that appears to be going on for control of your purchasing power, I really want to find the answers.

On one side of the equation we have big companies and multinational corporations that produce really great tasting beverages. Who doesn’t enjoy a nice cold beer or a favorite soda on a hot day? These products taste so good… how could anybody say they are not good for us? On the other side of the equation we have health scientists who are now beginning to identify some of the finer points to disease prevention. One of those points is that the role of alkalinity is more important than we previously realized.

All anyone has to do is search and they will find a ton of research that supports alkalinity. It’s common knowledge now that cancer won’t grow in alkaline environments. Cancer requires an acidic environment. When scientists started looking at disease prevention rather than disease curing, it became clear that there were some environmental factors that contributed significantly to growth of diseases.

I tested a dozen of the most popular beverages on the market. Interestingly, every single one of them was acidic. There wasn’t a single one that even came close to neutral. One of the sports drinks, in fact, tested so acidic that it prompted me to laugh and compare it with battery acid. And that prompted us to setup a next video shoot. We are going to buy a automotive battery – probably a motorcycle battery. We are going to order it without any acid so that it has no charge. We are then going to fill the battery with the sports drink and then hook a volt meter to the battery to prove that the drink will, in fact, generate electricity!

Where ever I go on the net I find testimonials about the efficacy of alkaline diets. Dr. Robert O. Young has some great material out, including three books on the subject. The problem for all of us is that we are going to have to find a happy middle ground. I don’t think that it should be all one way or all the other way. I’d really like to have a soda every once in a while and I sure do love my buttered popcorn on the weekends. So the big question for me becomes, “what is the formula for success in balancing a diet?”

I am presently drinking 3 to 4 litres of water per day. I have noticed some excellent health improvements over the past few months, including weight loss and my friends tell me that my skin looks younger or smoother. I can’t tell that part because I see the face every day.

My focus for the next few months is going to be on accessing the best science I can find on alkalinity and disease. Of particular interest is cancer. My father died of cancer and so I am not particularly happy with that disease. It would be fair to say, that I want to get even. I know that my other articles on cancer and c-reactive protein get a ton of views, so that is a good indication where the interest is. To that end, I can only promise that I will seek out and bring you the best information on the planet. I will translate it into a language that we can all understand, and then perhaps we can collectively make some headway in stopping this disease.
